What is Meblur?
Meblur is the world’s first fully AI-augmented social experience. We replicate everything that is incredible about existing AI character/companion roleplay, while placing something vital at the core of our design: real human connection. Generative AI has enabled a completely unprecedented re-imagining of what it means to have a conversation, or to form a connection. This is socializing built for the 21st century, built for everyone, and only available on Meblur.
How does it work?
Meblur delivers “Real-time Collaborative Storytelling”. On Meblur, instead of creating an AI character and talking to them, you can create your own character and then talk as them. We take your simple messages and effortlessly transform them into rich in-character prose, allowing you to communicate by building up a world that exists entirely between you and the person that you’re talking to. We’ve always found the world of human creativity more interesting than the real world, so we’ve built a way to socialize within it, while ensuring that the real world is just one “Add Match” button away. If you’ve ever had a chat with an AI character and wished there was someone real behind the screen and not just an algorithm, then Meblur is the place for you, where you can meet that someone every time you open the app.
Our Story
Meblur is a finalist of the 2025/26 Durham University Venture School. Having been initially inspired by the incredible creativity that AI roleplay can offer, our team noticed an opportunity: what if talking to real people could be as fun, easy and fantastical as a session on your favourite AI character site? We've been designing and developing Meblur ever since. We hope to launch in early 2026, and start writing the next chapter of our story with you. We're currently developing in stealth, so mark this page to keep updated.
